Hi, I’m Zack Morgenthaler — a web developer, musician, designer, and artist currently based in Rochester, Minnesota.

I build creative, functional, and performance-driven digital experiences.

I studied Computer Science and Graphic Design at Whitworth University, gaining a strong foundation in both technical development and visual design.

My career journey includes work at organizations like AASM, OuterBox, and CSI Tech Corp, as well as many freelance opportunities. Most recently, I founded my own company, apportal.io, where I design and develop web applications — particularly enjoying working with C#, Blazor, and JavaScript. I have recently added WordPress to my list, however.

I’ve been programming since high school, learning Visual Basic and C++, then expanding into modern stacks. My day-to-day toolbox includes:

• C#, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML/CSS/SCSS
• Familiar with C++
• I specialize in the .NET/.NET Core and React ecosystems, including Blazor projects
• I learned Angular recently
• I have been making full websites with Astro
• WordPress Theme Design experience

I craft site designs directly in the browser using HTML5 and CSS/SCSS/PostCSS, and I also create visuals in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

As a musician, I’ve produced music using Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and currently Reaper — where I compose, mix, and master my own tracks. You can find my work streaming on SoundCloud.

I edit video content using Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro, adding yet another creative dimension to my skill set.

I blend analytical problem-solving with artistic creativity — whether developing robust web apps or producing immersive audio experiences. I’m passionate about crafting high-performing and beautiful products that tell a story and elevate user experiences.
